It is so nice that the weather has started to cooperate! The past 2 weeks we have been able to be outside.

 Last week we played a football type game called 49'er Football. It was nice to be able to pull the girls aside and show them some proper throwing and receiving techniques. I now see a couple of them joining the boys at recess!

Today we played T-Ball. Jesse did a fabulous job as our official score keeper since he is sidelined with a broken arm. The second half of class we played a new game called "Bounce Ball". Ask your child to explain it to you.

Presentations are finished and we are back to playing games! I was so impressed with the quality of the presentations - great job kids! I will be getting your notes with comments back shortly.

I had hoped to finish our presentations today but 4 kids came unprepared or were absent. The four that did present did a great job! Kudos for being ready to go after having 2 weeks off.

On Feb. 12  we will have Lacey, Christopher, Hunter & Jesse present.

WOW!!!! We heard/saw some awesome presentations today. I was blown away! The quality and thoroughness was fabulous. We did, of course, run out of time so those kids in spots 14 and higher will present on our next day of class - Feb. 5 - I can't wait :)

The kids did a fabulous job of working on their projects yesterday in class. I see some great works in the making and am looking forward to presentation day!

Please bring to class on Tue., Jan. 15:

A completed outline or note cards for your presentation
Your bibliography with at least 3 sources
Any materials needed to work on your project during class
Evidence of your presentation (ie: Power Point, Research Paper, Poster, etc.)

By next week the kids should be pretty close to done but will have the first part of class to work. If they need any supplies (ie: poster board, die cut letters, note cards, etc.) please let me know and I can have them available on Tue.

An outline containing the research you have done so far
A rough draft of your bibliography
Any materials needed to work on your project during class

Dec. 18 - Today I gave the kids an assignment to do a research report on their favorite Sport, Game or Athlete. They chose a topic and we walked to the Carnation Library to begin gathering information. Presentations will be on Tuesday, January 22 during class. Parents and siblings are welcome to join us, More information will come after break. Below is a list of the topics the kids chose:
