Monday High School Spanish      

 

Due November 19

1. Finish  the rest of the activities in the "Que Tal" magazine from page 8 and on.  Use a Spanish dictionary to translate any words you may not know in order to complete the activity.  Make a vocabulary list of the words on the bottom right hand side in the box called "Palabras", pick ten words to write and define three times each on a separate piece of paper.

2. Watch or listen to something in Spanish. Write a quick summary of what you watched or listened to.

    Your pen pal letter

Due November 16

    1. Read the magazine "Que Tal" all the way through, then complete all the activities up to page 8.  Take note of the Spanish vocabulary "palabras" found on the bottom right hand side. What words were you familiar with? What did you learn about after reading the magazine that maybe surprised you?

 

Due November 9

    1. Watch a DVD that has a simple plot and is familiar to you, in Spanish.  See how much you can pick up of the Spanish Vocabulary

.  Write a paragraph explaining your experience.

    2. At your conference, pick up a copy of a Nicaraguan letter written by a younger student.  Translate it and bring to class.

    3. Attempt to write your pen pal letter in Spanish or take notes on what you want to include in your letter.

 1. Read your book to page 43, In your text:

    page 34: Vocabulario Util - Copy Spanish/English

    page 35: Vocab Blue Box

    page 37: Vocab Top & Bottom Bold

    page 40: Days of the week:

    Activity: E-pg 36, A-38, B-38, C-39, F-42, G-43, H-43

Due October 26

The homework this week is:
 
Do all "Navegando la Red" activities throughout the chapter, respond to all questions on a piece of paper.  Also, continue reading through the end of the chapter, and answer the questions at the top of page 26.  Begin reading the net chapter starting on page 30 "Lección 1".

 

 

Due October 19:

Read and translate the box labeled "Los hispanos hablan" on page 12", as well as the box "Sabias que..." on page 24.  Use a Spanish/English dictionary and information in the chapter to complete it.
 
Finish reading the rest of the section pg 24-25, and glance over the questions on the next page...we will be going over it in more detail in class.
 
Also, start looking at and studying the vocabulary at the end of the chapter. Particularly verbs, adjectives, and common expressions/greetings...some of them will be on the next test.

 

Due October 12:

1. Look up your five verbs to know what they mean.

2. Complete worksheets handed out in class about parts of the body and colors.

3. Listen to and/or watch Spanish programming. On the radio, on TV, or by watching a DVD in Spanish and with Spanish subtitles (your favorite movie may have the option to switch the language to Spanish).
