In our PARADE class, we are learning about newspaper writing by writing articles for our own paper and the community newspapers.

10/13/09  This week, we established due dates for our articles.  They are as follows:

Personal Choice Article:  Rough draft due October 20th, Final Draft with pictures due October 27th.

PARADE Class Article:  Rough draft due October 27th, Final Draft due November 3rd.

if you are having trouble emailing your article to Mrs. Schutte, please let her know and she will work with the school district mail system to allow your email through!

9/29/09    This week, we learned and practiced some editing marks.  Students were able to check in about their current articles and set individual goals for next week.

Shayla – first paragraph is done, have more info in hand; rough draft next week

Patrick – finished first story (editing)

Kara – brought research to class, write first paragraph by next week

Honor – first paragraph is done, lots of information to work with – please write a rough draft for next week

Emma – first paragraph done; two paragraphs more – it might be done by then

Silvana – writing first paragraph to be finished.

Salena – Intro paragraph, water paragraph, third paragraph
