7th Grade: Expository and Persuasive (an essay attempting to convince others of a particular point of view)
8th Grade: Persuasive and Expository
The test consists of two sessions. One writing piece is completed in each session.
Preparing for the Test:
Students will benefit from practicing responding to the types of writing prompts that are commonly used on the WASL, and learning to use the student checklists to evaluate their efforts.
