4/30 - Please bring 5 or more pieces of fabric and/or paper to class next week as we will begin our fabric - acrylic collages. Thanks for a great and quiet class.

3/20/08 Looks like I have figured this out - some how. We will finish our oil paintings on 3/26 and glaze our owls. I will give some fun art assignments to keep you busy during break :) Let's try to keep the talking down in class and have fun making art!

2/27/08 - Please listen to a piece of music and create an image with or without color that express what the music looks or feels like to you. List the type of music and title on the page.

2/13/08 - Due to many missing and the need to have more time for clay - we did not sculpt today but we did have a wondrous time with Sumi paper, ink and brushes. While you are on break, I would like each and every one of you to draw 7 "somethings" in your Art notebooks. Think color, spring, your cat, outdoors, view from a window - just have fun and let your creative juices flow.

2/6/08 - Finish our owl drawings at home - come ready to sculpt.

1/16/08 - Home work is to bring some owl pictures and ideas as we will be doing three drawings, one contour, one sketch and one showing form with shading and lines. We will then sculpt these beauteous owls out of clay.

1/2/08 - Home work for next week is to do 2 20 minute sketches using line (only) to establish shape and texture to represent a real object. It could be a couch or a cat. This will be a graded assignment.

12/12 - OOOPs - did some of you forget to read this website? And did some of you come ill prepared to take the quiz that I told you about?? Please have all your work turned in and caught up by break. Thanks!

12/5 -Please come to class with the two page Leonardo style sketch of a real object, either still or moving. Keep up with your projects and keep sketching in your sketch books. Also - I highly advise you to read the Leonardo magazine that I handed out two weeks ago. We will have a little quizlet on the info. that you hopefully absorbed.

11/28 - If you did not come with a food sketch please do bring it next week. Also a two page drawing, studying one object in motion or a still life. Read and review the Leonardo scholastic art magazine. Enjoy it and think about it and come ready to maybe answer some written questions about it.

The assignments to be graded so far are: 2 landscapes, Leaf resist, Cornucopia still life, the box of possibility, the food drawing and the 2 page study sketch that you are bringing on Dec. 5th.

Remember to keep up with your art notebook sketching.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hello class Today's date is 11/27 and that means that I will be seeing you all tomorrow. Please bring your 10 to 15 min. food sketch that you then went back to later and enhanced with color. This will be a graded project. Hope you all enjoyed break. Hello all, Please bring your finished Box of possibility and a statement of purpose to class on Nov. 14th.

Also, while you are away from class for 2 weeks, please do at least 4 sketches in your Art Notebook. Try some color or collage. Create a page full of something interesting.
