Purpose: Students will write for a variety
of audiences and purposes, including practice in storytelling and explaining in
detail.
Description of learning activities: Students will analyze ideas, select topics, add detail and
elaboration.
Students will know and apply spelling, punctuation,
capitalization, grammar and paragraphing skills appropriate to their grade
level.
Follow-up or at-home activities: Some outside writing activities will be encouraged.
