Core Class

Purpose: This class focuses on national and international geography in preparation for the National Geography Bee in January.

Description of learning activities: Student s work at both memorizing and understanding geographic locations, physical geography, and cultural differences around the world and in regions of the US. Through the use of internet resources, mapping activities, research, and games we explore the wide variety of geographic literacy.

Follow-up or at-home activities: Students will be expected to prepare at home for the following week's class. Often each student will select a country or city to research and teach the class about.
