Day: Tuesday Block: Block
4 - 1:50 pm to 3:00 pm
Class Length: Semester 2
Purpose: To enrich the learning of music through playing the recorder.
The students will be given several songs to learn and perform.
Description of learning activities: The students will be learning how to read sheet music, basic music
theory such as types of notes and instrument fingerings, and musical pieces
that they will perform in an evening concert in June.
Follow-up or at-home activities: Practice
of songs using instruction book.
Textbook/Materials needed: Soprano
recorder and instruction book - Materials provided by PARADE by paid for out of
student stipend account
Any student costs: $12.00
which will come out of student stipend account - recorder and music will be the
property of the student after class is completed
