Ms. Eaton's 1-2        June 2008 Newsletter

End of the Year
We are enjoying our last few weeks of school. We are redoing our favorite centers at Literacy time, sharing stories together and practicing our knitting skills. When we get done with our work, we now read, write or knit!
Literacy
We have been working on the reading comprehension strategies of asking questions before, during and after we read.. Also we to use inferring, which is what good readers do to get meaning from their reading by making predictions and drawing conclusions In addition we look for the answers in the text. In writing we have been working on adding detail and staying on topic.
