Homework Policy
In third grade homework will be given Monday-Thursday, with a Bonus/Extra Credit assignment handed out on Friday and due Monday. Homework will consist of the following activities:
●Math assignments that align with both the Mathematical Investigations curriculum and the Scott Foresman/Addison Wesley third grade math textbook.
●Challenge Folder: Each week there will be specific assignments due. The material is from district adopted, third grade, supplemental reading and math material. Everyday, in class, students will have time to work on their challenge folders, usually in the morning or during transition times. However, any assigned material, which is not finished in class, will need to be taken home and completed for homework and be due on Friday.
●The Rebecca Sitton Individualized Spelling program will also be introduced this year, and students will be asked to study at home from an individualized spelling sheet everyday to prepare for a weekly spelling test. The sheets will go home Monday and individualized tests will be on Thursday.
●Each
Week students will be given an activity to complete from either the Celebrate

Parents
I am requiring each student to get a parent signature each night. The signature system helps keep the line of communication open between home and school. In order for students to receive full credit on homework, parent signatures need to be present in daily home agendas.
